Hand Lettering on My New Tablet
A few weeks ago I got a new laptop -- a 2-in-1 with a pen -- and I have been practicing with it a TON so I can use it to learn digital hand-lettering and improve my illustration skills.
Do you know what I've learned so far? It’s really hard! But I think I’m starting to get a feel for the pen and I’ve also learned SO MANY new things in Photoshop.
This is the first piece I’ve liked enough to share. Don’t read too much into the words — one hard thing about hand-lettering is thinking of something important enough to spend several hours hand-lettering. 🙄 I finally settled on this quote after my children complained about slow internet for the 9,000,000th time this week and I heard these words coming out of my mouth. I tried to incorporate a bunch of different decorative techniques in this piece and I'm pretty happy with it.
