Original Art Photography Series by @velimir #270 'Alienated Perspectives'
'Alienated Perspectives'
A strange perspective is showing two floors. Both have table and chairs and books. It seems that the main element is the big round, black and white surveillance device. But, it is not. It is about the man hidden behind it. His hands, to be more precise. It is about people hidden behind technology with their identities taken away. As if we live in a world where everyone will be lonely soon. Empty chairs, unread books go well along with this premise. Notice those tired hands holding tight to a cigarette. How does it make you feel?
The colour scheme consists of many colours but all of them are washed out to create a sort of a light pastel world where dehumanization is an unstoppable process. It has a sad eighties look, not a bright one which would change the overall feeling. The colour scheme should always follow the main idea. Also, the white windows on top of the image and in the bottom serve well in creating the overall bleached out atmosphere. Their positioning is also an important element. As is on top, so is in the bottom. No difference.
The dark line in the middle of the frame is going from left to right over the surveillance as if denying the vision of loneliness or strengthening it, on the second thought. It is about personal perception at this point. So, what is yours? :)
Enjoy! :)

Now a days people are hidden behind technologies just like the man in the picture. Life of human beings mostly become a gadget life.
Oh yes that's true.
An unusual perspective. First of all, I was in a slight turmoil that would understand that this is 2 floors. But what you described about a lonely person is the truth of our generation. That is, it happens gradually.
With the development of technology people have become very close to each other, but at the same time people have become further apart. This may sound like a game of words, but it's not. First of all, technologies allow us to stay in touch with each other at any time of the day and practically at any point the Earth is paid. Although even in space there is a stable connection. But there is a phenomenon called the "black mirror".
It was with this that people of the 21st century came across. We become more alone. Our gadgets are the only friends. "Live" communication with friends and family is increasingly being replaced by online communication. There are virtual friends with whom you will never see in the real world. We are increasingly immersed in the virtual world. And apparently it's only the beginning. Technologies develop quickly and provide a huge variety of opportunities. You can earn money without leaving home. You can buy and order food and any equipment and even furniture without leaving home. All with the help of the virtual world. Soon, even sex will be virtual. The world is changing and this is a fact.
Good topic and good photo!
The medical world has also entered the digital age. Treatment becomes more structured. Current communication technology can address health issues, get bonuses on every useful practice, manage appointments, and make decisions from a distance.
Some of these benefits are very helpful to human life, including health workers and patients for a longer time. However, is there still a desire to enjoy a live conversation with others? In accordance with human nature that requires social interaction, we will need warm hugs, not just emoji on the gadget screen. Similarly in patients in need of which may require direct interaction with others.
Unfortunately, along with the increasing telecommunication technology, the relationship between humans was increasingly disconnected. This digital rhythm makes our senses dull and silences the human voice. According to sociologist Barry Wellman, "people are not tied to technology, they need each other, and the market opportunity that utilizes the efficiency in technology is what separates us. We need to get closer to each other." The fact is we are getting lonely - even in this vast world.
Beautiful photography @velimir. Very interesting story and concept to go along with the photo. For me, the 80's look and the man hidden by the surveillance technology is like they are lost in the technology and are reminiscing about the days when they were much younger and happy. When their world was bright and full of color and with much less technology to diture them away from the bright days of fun. But this is their world today. Thanks for sharing.
your choice always best dear. this art photography you pic up very clearly and perfectly.... Many of the chairs are the same and the layout of the room is very similar. I found myself checking both bookshelves to see if it, in fact, was a reflection of some sort. Technologies develop quickly and provide a huge variety of opportunities. You can earn money without leaving home. You can buy and order food and any equipment and even furniture without leaving home. All with the help of the virtual world. Soon, even sex will be virtual. The world is changing and this is a fact.really very perfect artist of you..thanks to sharing for your good post of art..my dear best friend..best of luck of your great work and take care yourself everyday... @velimir
You are really right, people are less likely to go out. They are more accustomed to come home from work, sit on a crowded sofa and turn on the TV or sit down and hang on the Internet. The cafes are empty, the books are unread and the parks are empty. Do not be constantly dependent, you must meet with friends.
I really like how similar both rooms are. Many of the chairs are the same and the layout of the room is very similar. I found myself checking both bookshelves to see if it, in fact, was a reflection of some sort. I am very curious about that bulb shaped item on the top floor. I am guessing it is some sort of funky lamp but can't be certain.
The way you observe, perceive and relate things in your surrounding is astonishing!
That process of loneliness is already happening, but in my opinion, if we are disciplined enough to take care of our well being we will use technology as servant and not let it become our master. The balance is the key.
Namaste.
In a world of surveillance and communication forms of mostly no physical contact, it is a sad and lonely world.
Identities hid behind technology, a very good look at the picture also seems to show, as you said books unread, an empty house
Wow I didn't notice the man, I only focus on the big round black and white surveillance device. He's identity was taken out from the main photo which is just sad, nice photo, I really enjoyed it
