Original Art Photography Series by @velimir #216 'Green Secret'
'Green Secret'
Sometimes very simple motives harbour beauty that we can feel but not rationally explain on the first sight. This bicycle took me by surprise. In the first moment, I didn't know why I was taking the photo. As you probably know, most of the times I don't click unless I have an idea. But here is an example that it can be done other way around, too. I didn't understand why I took this one until I opened it in Photoshop and looked deeper.
What I love about it are the many greenish hues all over the composition. They beautifully tell almost a nostalgic story of a simple means of transportation. The quite mundane graffiti take a bit of that atmosphere away and tell another story, one of decay and disrespect. Together, these two stories, bound with green, can be food for thought.
The trick that I found to be very interesting is the two red accents. One is the rear bike light and the other one is that screaming little man in the bottom left. Well, I believe it was a leaf but now it looks to me like a little red screaming man. The overall tonality of this is neatly balanced somewhere in the middle of the scale, as it does not need any special treatment.
Is there a secret message hidden in this one?
Enjoy! :)

I love this photo!
Beautiful. The colors look stunning.
Awesome photo here @velimir.
We all love looking at photos of beautiful bikes after all, looking at that stunning frame is the next best thing to actually being out riding.
Normally if that bike was for sale and that was the picture for advertisement maybe on instagtam, i will definitely want to buy the bike, why? because normally that wall would have appeared to be a dirty wall and hence cause a distraction to the original idea, but because of the toning you used, the green effect was right at all parts. The wall didnt overpower the bike and neither did the bike overpower the wall. You made the most with what you had available and i must say that is a great shot. What i also understood from this picture is that not all pictures have to be the perfect picture at the beginning. If you do the right thing, you will get a result that might blow your mind.
Thank you for sharing. Loved it
@velmir
I love the simplicity of this photo, and it does bring a certain nostalgia which can evoke fond emotion. For me personally that emotion is romance, the red man and red tail light may have some deeper meaning, which I would have to think about some more before commenting.
It may not be a coincidence that these 2 objects are particularly red. That may actually be why I have a feeling of romance, as that would generally be the colour associated with romance. lol
Nice pic, stay blessed.
Recently, I'm very stressed. The humane court of my country is very hard on me.
But I did not miss any of your messages. (especially photos). Therefore, I will find time to comment on your work.
Green is the color of growth, it is direct opposite to red color. Even in trading, green means growth, and red means falling. I have been doing this for a long time, so I know what I'm saying.
Is the secret message in this? Quite a bit of. First of all (what comes to mind) is that the bicycle is a symbol of movement. He is free, that is, anyone can sit on him and start moving up. Why up? Because the bicycle is pointed upwards.
Green color for me emphasizes the symbol of growth. Together with the bicycle, it is a movement. Graffiti on the walls is a symbol of change. Why is that? Graffiti is meaningful, so create an atomosphere of uncomfortability. Atmosphere uncomfortable + bike (movement symbol + green color) create an atmosphere of movement. It's simple.
Maybe my vision of this photo does not match with yours @velimir - do not judge me for it. I hope that here there is no socialism and these prejudices that torazyut me every day.
Thank you, I liked it.
Goodnight
Sometimes we take some pictures by accident and do not respond to its beauty or meaning at that moment, but when you look after a period and reflect on it, you have an idea you may admire it and may be consistent with the subject of danger on the Balk at that moment and write about it in your blog
I couldn't agree more with this!
