'Winter Shades of Blue'

My soft side. I just couldn't resist taking this one. The day was cold but sunny and these gentle, fluffy flowers caught my attention. If they are flowers, actually. I think they are. For the sake of simplicity, we'll call them flowers. When I look at this, I get a content feeling inside my chest. This is predominantly because of a few things: the structure of the light areas, the long, tenderly curved lines on top of the shorter hairy ones and the overall backlight treatment of the subject.

The blue colour in different tonalities dominates the background, adding a strong statement to the atmosphere, and with it, the overall feeling this photo evokes. It also defines the spatial volume behind the white flowers, partially pushing the flowers closer to us. Little areas of pale magenta pleasantly fill the colour scheme and make sure that everything is in cold, winter mood.

I particularly love the structure of the white hairs. They are the ones adding the dynamics but keep the presence of gentle, almost touchable, sensation. I get a wish to feel these with my fingers and find out what would it be like to touch them. I must also point out the 'cobweb' look on the right side of the photo. It came to life due to the positioning of the sun and close proximity from the lens to the object.

I believe that you haven't noticed that this a double exposure unless you are trained to see the directions of lights. It is visible that the sunlight is coming from the left side, whilst the sun is located to the right. It gives the image an off feeling one cannot explain unless he knows how to look for clues. ;-) This double exposure was done in-camera, it was not composited in Photoshop. When something is composited, like my photograph #168 for example, I have no problem admitting. Every effort that brings in the desired results is valid!

Enjoy! :)

Wow! Thanks for sharing this. These kinds of photos are rare. In fact, the first one I saw was my friend's just two days ago: https://steemit.com/photofeed/@j-alhomestudio/art-photography-050-whirlpool-of-light-goldenhourphotography He's one of your followers.

Wow beautiful art i like this pic than you

I couldnt help but notice when you said soft side ☺☺
Awesome flower, i feel like touching too. I dont know the name, but it symbolises beauty in simplicity, delicate yet strong, really shines bright.
Wow. Its rare seeing you talk about flowers, but i guess you love nature and its content. Flowers are one of the most beautiful creations of Nature. Also, flowers are used to show emotions and feelings, so i guess thats definitely why you said soft side:) All flowers look beautiful in there own way.
Just outside my window, i have an African tulip tree. It has big bright orange flowers. These flowers are beautiful and the complete tree is covered with these flowers. One can find numerous birds and squirrels relishing the juice of these flowers. Looking at this tree in full bloom just makes my day
I really like that cobweb look. Nice one my friend. That double exposure was cool.
Its great to know it was done on camera. Hope you have been good @velimir.

Beautiful:)

Flowers are often a means of expressing one's love for a partner, usually more often by a man to a woman's idol. But whether it is realized or not, behind it flowers have a deep enough meaning related to love. at first I thought, the living flowers can wither while the plastic flowers can not wilt but fake. I do not know, seems to express love with interest is not an effective thing. But gradually my hypothesis broke when I looked at a flower that still buds in the yard of the house. At that time I realized that the philosophy of love behind the giving of a single (or more of course) interest is very deep.

Whatever it is - Me likey.
So many aspects of Nature are beautiful and you captured this one perfectly.
Kudos.

OMG! which of the favor of your lord will you deny <3
Whatta shot it is, sun rays are coming from the left side while sun is shining on the right side, is it a magic ? No it is the skill of Mr. @velimir <3

These soft so called followers are giving a message of Peace and Love look how innocent they are in their own way, wow :)

Thank you so much for giving this awesome Art "Winter Shades of Blue''

Really appreciated your work Man :) :)

Lol. Your level of photography is really awesome. I use to take this flower like some sort of cotton flowers, never knew it was fluffy. You made blue look exciting. Cobweb looks dope. Nature at its best.

Excellent winter photography and the first impressions that visited me when I saw her this feeling of winter. But it seemed to me that these are small branches that are covered with frosty frost. Interesting comparison, probably it arose because I saw a similar picture recently.
After a detailed examination, the most attention is drawn to the white hair that creates the bulk around itself. It's like a small 3D effect :)
The second thing I would note is the inetern lighting. More precisely to say (as you described above) that the sun shines on the right side, and the light falls from the left. Good cheating view :)
White dominant color (with shades of blue) create a common palette and impression of cold. Yes it really is a winter picture. Thank you.
Good evening:)

my pleasure! :) Thank you!
