So it turns out I do occasionally create something in color. But when I do, somehow my color pieces end up even less cheerful than my black and white pieces. I actually started this piece a week or two before having my large intestine removed (and finished it over a year later). Despite my reservations about the surgery, it has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made in terms of my health and quality of life.
