What should you draw? Some tips I used.

What you can do if you don't know to draw. When you were trying to figure out what to draw that's when you found yourself thinking a lot and I hear a lot of people saying they don't know what to draw and I can also relate to this. I'm going to give you a few examples of what you can do when you don't know what to draw. The main objective of all of these is just to get yourself drawing. It doesn't really matter what it is. The first one is to use some prompts. A lot of artists are often doing a drawing each day and they are following a list of different prompts. This really helps a lot of people and assists them in coming up with ideas. There are many websites out there that generate random prompts for you. A lot of problems in not knowing what to draw is the fact that there is sometimes too much to draw. Like you can literally draw anything and sometimes that leads to us not being able to make a decision. Second I'd recommend you do is head over to a website like Pinterest and this is a really useful resource for finding similar artwork and images around subjects that interest you and it's also a good source for fandom reference images because when you type in a word you are shown all of these different images that relate to that and then you have some good ideas for creating your own drawing. The third is studying drawing, I'm talking about learning the fundamentals because it's something that we should all spend time doing. For instance, if you are learning anatomy then try doing some figure drawing or draw something that isn't necessarily a finished piece but instead is an exercise to improve at something and your intention is to become more familiar with that subject. You are using drawing as a tool to learn all of these things that will make you a better artist.

Nice to see you write a great post again. I will show it to my wife, @kobold-djawa, because she likes painting, too, and I am sure she likes to learn from you.
See you at the battlefield, master player. :)
Thank you @jaki01 for the great support, my friend! Your wife is very talented as well. :) It's always good to learn from each other. And you're an awesome player. I hope I can max my gold card soon haha
Cool, another post from you 😎. Good to see you back on track with your art work on full display. I always know what to draw - nothing, because I can't draw 😂

Yeah, It has been time. I need to pick up a pencil and start to draw again. haha
Nice work @vaansteam, I can remember back in school when I use to draw all the time. Mostly bubble letter names and cartoon characters were my favorite things to draw during class. It seems the older I got, I began to draw less and less. Every now and then I may doodle on paper or paint a canvas because of the relaxation it provides. At one phase I even did a few tattoos which was a cool experience. Im naturally left handed but during this time I discovered how to use my right hand just as good as my left with the tattoo gun. Thanks for providing these awesome words of wisdom as you have inspired me to pick the pencil back up. Keep doing amazing things my friend and i wish you much success on your journey.

Don't give up. Keep going!. Good luck to you!
This is a really good artwork. I have seen so many drawings of portraits out there but somehow this looks so natural to me. And I am sure it is. What I mean by that it looks like this drawing never was involved with a computer software. Don't get me wrong I like digital arts as well but I am always fascinated by real natural drawings. Well done it is always good to see works like this.
I never did drawing on the computer before. I like the feeling when I'm holding the pencils. I prefer the traditional art style :)
Wow, that is a beautiful drawing. Love the details. I just don't have the patience for all those intricate details (even with writing) and love seeing the creativity in others. Best I can do are stick figures. :)
Stick figures are better than no drawing at all. ahaha. But yes a lot of patience and time. :)
Hello vaansteam!!
I'm amazed of how you draw! So I'm now also learning to draw. A couple of weeks ago I found the website drawabox.com for beginners. I also plan to follow Proko(it's a youtuber) to learn to draw figures. I have to say it's a good way to use random generators for getting ideas of what to draw. I also recommend to open a book and randomly stop to a page and chose a word within that page. Hahaha doing this comment I also have come to a new idea: chose a random steemit post and draw about the topic of the post.
Have a nice day!!
Thank you for commenting. I really like your idea. Btw congrats on being the contest winner.

Interesting. My daughter is more interested in drawing than I am. Seems to have inherited the genes from her mother. I am going to try out these ideas with my daughter. Thanks! 😊
