I've been thinking lately about mundane details from my childhood.

Details that my own child will not inherit.

The way telephone cords would tangle around themselves as my mother walked back and forth talking on the phone. Twist around twists, with flecks of dirt built up on the curves of discolored plastic. Pulling the knotted spirals taunt to try reach the something from across the room without cutting off the conversation.

This is a continuation of a series of sketches I've been doing on my iPhone, sans stylus (Finger-Painting).

This sketch was done in Adobe Sketch which is slightly different to Adobe Draw which I had been using previously and creates vector illustrations. Instead, Sketch allows you to create more of a painterly or sketched (aha) effect, but you end up with a raster image and not a vector in exchange.

So I'm torn between the two. Each has it's pros & cons.

But I'm enjoying the exploration and the process of putting ideas to 'paper' without the pressure of a client to please.
