The Art Of Postmodernism

Art can be judged in many different ways. There no such thing as right way understand it. What can be viewed as the idea of the particular work of art is not limited. That is the beauty of it. Work of art continuous to exist independently after it is created. It is not chained down by the author's ideas.

There is a lot of criticism surrounding one particular movement and that is postmodernism. The main point of it's criticism being that it lacks any skill. "I could have also drawn that." That statement is questionable. The idea of drawing it actually may have never appeared in once mind who tries to prove, that he or she could have drawn it. When you see the art you understand it's simplicity, but still, you were't able to think about it and materialize it.
This movement shows us human's inner world's complexity through simple art. Postmodernism is purely dependent on once creativity. I am not saying that other movements didn't require creativity, but you can also be mesmerized by the sheer skill the painting needed to be created. In postmodernism you don't admire skill, but creativity.

The beauty about postmodernism is that, it does't only bring out authors inner world, but also - the audience's. A lot could be said about a person when he or she reviews a work of art. The world, that is seen by them, may be a reflection of their own mind.

Postmodernism is way of communicating. It's a code that only a set of people understand. Don't get me wrong, i am not stating that i am the on who understands it, i am the one who tries to. The one's who say, that they could have drawn that and not look beyond it, are the ones who don't understand it. It's an encryption and many try to break the code. The process of decryption is most enjoyable.

There is one rule in postmodernism, there are no rules. Art has no boundaries, but in the past there were a set of standards that should have been met in order for the piece to have been considered art. Postmodernism is break from all those standards.

So to summarize, postmodernism is art, that is not chained down by any rules and the tool to understand it is once open mind.
