Project “Urban Myths” Graffiti Art – Part 4

in #art8 years ago

This evening I have visited the street where the project “Vulica Brazil” is in progress and I promise, soon you will get amazing pictures from that place! However today I would like to tell you about another interesting street art project in Minsk “Urban Myths”.
There were a few volunteers who decided to make our city more colorful and to show that Urban Art can be a modern Art. For the first year – 2014 there were only Belarusian Artists who had been working on this project, however in 2015 few famous fantastic artists from different countries came to Minsk to support this project.

Let me first start from the one of the most contradictory and scandal artwork by Greek author INO – “Man with no name”.

This mural was presented to the city last year in 2015 and till now there are a lot of disputes around it. There are people who hates it and it reminds them some unpleasant feelings, others admire it. Honestly it’s a bit creepy however I do like it!

When I was looking for some information about this piece of art, I found few versions of the interpretation of this graffiti. I will leave it for your judgment and your understanding. This mural was created within 3 days and was left unfinished. INO planned to come back to Minsk this year however as there are still a lot of discussions around it, so I guess it will remain unchangeable.

Within the Project "Urban Myths" there was one more very interesting graffiti artist - Millo (Italy) and his mural “Everywhere I go”.

This mural was listed as the Best Street Art in the world by catalogue “I Support Street Art”. MIllo creates large scale murals in simple black and white colors with minimal use of the color if he needs to highlight something. The idea: the biggest takes care of the smallest. In the big cities people live on the program “home-work-home” without looking around and without any feelings of anything else apart their own apartments.
This artwork makes you think about the surroundings.

And the artist that I fell in love with his artworks – British -Australian artist - Guido Van Helten.

I don’t want talking much about it, just watch and enjoy of the beauty of Belarusian girls and traditional vyshivanka outfits.

It is absolutely incredible work of art!

When I started to learn more about this artist I found some more very similar murals in Kiev. I was so happy about it, because I had to go to Kiev for business trip and was impatiently looking forward to see them.

I got the mural of Lesy Ukrainki just next to my hotel and for another one I made a trip around Kiev. No regrets! It’s worth it!

Within this project it is planned to have 5 more graffiti this year in Minsk and it means that I would very soon go to find them and present to you :)
Stay tuned, cause soon I will show you much more!

Wow These are really amazing!
