Hello All!

Today I was going through my photo albums from previous exhibitions either solo sculpture or group with other art forms and @mariandavp and found a folder with photos of one of the most difficult to set up, but also the most pleasurable in terms of acceptance, exhibition in my life.

That exhibition took place in a very old oil press factory in Naxos that is now a museum but had never been used as a gallery before the Elaia Arts Festival was introduced in the art scene of Cyclades Islands.

To be honest I was opposed to the idea, it was too strange for me, but @mariandavp insisted and accepted the offer of the festival on my behalf as well.

It was a big project to ship clay sculptures from Athens to some village in Naxos and even greater to clean up, set up and light the rooms of the factory in a suitable manner when the factory didn't even have electricity. For @mariandavp the additional challenge was to hang the paintings when she wasn't allowed to place a single nail into the wall.

BUT mother and daughter got creative and with the support of the locals we managed to set up an exhibition that got visits even from schools.
