A good start of the new year ^_^

This first day of the 2019 was a nice day for the Beneforti's family and even if now we are a bit tired, I enjoyed this day! I started my day like every day: a big cup of coffee in front of the kitchen window, while my cat Richy tried to catch my attention to play with me ^_^

I sketched a smiling little character on my sketchbook, but Richy wanted to be in the pic, so I had some "problems" to take a nice pic of my daily sketch:

After a fast lunch at home, me and my hubby @paolobeneforti went to my parents to wish them an happy New Year and to eat a typical dish that my dad cooked just for us: the necci!!!

Necci (plural) are a very tipycal dish of th area where I live (in the Tuscany, Italy) and they are similar to the pancakes, but using the chestnut flour! The reciple is really simple:  some chestnut flour and a bit of water, but the real secret is to use the right "tool" to cook them! My father use the "forme", they are similar to a couple of pans, but flut. You have to put a bit of mix of the ingredients on one of this "forme" and to use the other to press the mix until it's cooked.

The next time I'll take a video while my father is cooking them :D

My hubby was really busy with the crossword, but when my mom pute the necci and a bit of ricotta cheese in front of him, he decided to have a break :P
