it is rare to find an established, influential, pop-culture gallery that accepts submissions from the general public.
Every year, La Luz De Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles does exactly that.. shooting out far and wide an open call for visual art with no prerequisites and no fee to submit. Word spreads, and this year's 32nd installment received tens of thousands of submissions .. I am thrilled to have 4 of my watercolors included. I submitted to this show for three years until i got accepted.
Each year i used this show as an opportunity to evaluate my work from the previous year to look for how i improved and evolved... Not getting accepted was inspiration to beef up my skills.
