Boat Spray Painting Accessories

in #art7 years ago (edited)

There are times when your Boats or Cruise boats painted accessories, which were once glistening, are now faded, peeling or cracked showing the metal below. This could be a Fence, Helmet area, Hatch mold ... just about anything that has been with paint finish paint. Is it time for a new one? Well maybe or maybe not. Here's how to make them look new again.

For years I will try to revitalize my accessories with their hand painting after they spent years in the saltwater environment. It never looked real good. I ended up buying new accessories to replace the old ones that have worked well, but looked old because of my finished or sad painting job. I have come a long way since then, so here is a quick way to perfect yourself and get this job done easily and cost effectively.

Now you may have a job that is bigger than what I mentioned, but you can take the same staple and paint a Boat Spray or Helmet console or even your Marine engine. So let's get started.

Firstly, you should get peeled and cracked taken care of by a light friction and then sanding. You want to have smooth without the highest and lowest of cracked or peeling areas. Yes, that does not mean a bit of sanding depends on the severity level is over. Try for sand crevices and the highest and lowest to try to get it for you. You can use the numerous fillers found in Marine Supply to the stores to pick up any cracks or inconsistencies. Sand this so you get one uniform visible. You will know when you are correct. Clean your accessories, railing, etc. and use a cloth moistened with thinner (read all instructions when using any product, including warnings) to clean it for paint.

Now there are 2 aspects that are very important to do this ... one of them is the spray technique. We use spray paint cans from Marine Supply to the stores or Auto stores that come with their own nozzles. Before using, the spray can itself has become warm so that the paint products in the warmer. If it is a warm sunny day, leave it warm by being out (read the directions) and shake the tin again and again until the ball is in motion very easily. When using sprays can, there is a technique. First there is the movement back and forth, passing the accessory boat by a few inches one way. Try it without spraying to get the rhythm. Now when you paint the spraying, spray begins before the accessory boat and continue spraying up past the tip of an inch or so. When you come back, start spraying again before the accessories and so ... back and forth, start and stop the spray on each stroke. Keeping the spray can be about 8 to 10 inches during spraying. You just want to do a light coat ... you can do 5 passes and still see through paint, that's fine. Wait a few minutes, spray shake can be again and often, then do not pass more ... wait a minute ... then do it again. You will get the hang of it, and will love the finish of the factory you get!

Now remember, I only give you 1 secret out of 2. The first is to have a warm can before starting that should ... sometimes when I do the spray painting, I can feel the spray can be really warm from the sun ... that's good. Now the other secret ... the main ... that makes or breaks it one ....... Boat accessory, Fence, Helmet Console, Boat pole Must be really WARM !! Close to the heat. You know what I mean ... like a boat deck in the sun and you step on it bare feet ... Aucch! Yes, it's almost hot. Your surface spray painting should be this way! In a very warm sunny place at night, just let what you want to paint spray out in the sun for a while so it heats up. The tin spray paint I use is High Heat, like spray paint for the machine. This paint takes on heat and also has an additive in it for better bonding. Some paint is good for steel, and others for aluminum. You can tell by using magnets. If it's a steel wand, otherwise it is aluminum. That's the basics.

When painting something very warm to almost hot to the touch allows the paint to adhere much better and dry faster when you add more coats. Can not wait; go with the flow you start with and see it through. It will not be long. You may have to record things off with paper for overspray depending on what or where you spray painting. But you can do 50 'Sailboat in this way and it will look beautiful!

The paint will close and finish will look good on your boat. Getting a Boat or a Bristol Boat ... and Why a Knot !!

Well that's an easy way to paint a boat and others, never stop working let's improve what we can do right now, see you back to my painting or subsequent painting. hopefully useful for steemian friends all good luck and good luck. and do not forget to follow my @sanjaidut thank you.
