The Art of Melbourne- Paint and Ponder- The U.S.S. Minnowprize Sights Log!
Something that can be said for Australia is that the street art scene is alive and well.
And seemingly, encouraged and enjoyed instead of painted over! (in most places)
Some of the most vibrant and elaborate seem to be in Melbourne, oddly! It was amazing to see so many graffiti pieces in such a large metropolis. Some were probably hired murals, but others were clearly not.
Either way, they are spectacular.
And these are very botty, my favorite kind of subject matter! <3
Seeing this Transformer made both of us spin around and take a seat for a while to marvel at all the details.
It is truly incredible what some people can do with spray paints and a lot of creative energy!
We spent a while trying to figure out if this was a cleverly disguised signature/tag. The conclusion was yes, but we are divided on what the initials are. What do you see?

A wild #stitchybitch appears! We can use her as a bit of scale since the piece is quite sizeable!
If you want to see this piece in person and are in Melbourne, take a wander down Flinders Street and it will surely catch your eye! Also, stop and have some of the pho offered nearby. You will not regret it!
There are still plenty of graffiti/street art photos to come! However, the others don't quite fit in with the theme of this one so it will end up being another post sometime down the road!
