[DAY 6+7] | Trash is our Treasure! | Hurra, die Welt geht unter! - M4H

Apocalypse came and we survived. Kinda.

Splash!20 ended with a firework and people vanished into thin air leaving all their belongings behind.

In addition to this post-festival wasteland our electricity got also cut off making us unable to either work with our electronic tools or with our smartphones.

Yet giving us thus more helping hands to go gathering like in the old ages.

Other people's trash is our treasure!

The visitors of the festival left so much behind one could be super happy and totally devastated at the same time.

Happy because there are a lot resources to collect which can and will be used for the next festival.

Devastating because of all the resources being put to trash over the course of one single weekend. Such plastic, money, life being now rolled together by enormous dredgers.

The treasure hunt was yesterday. This is how our camp looks like after we transferred our new equipment to its destination:

With one of the main task of humans' existence being 'keeping tidyness' we had the perfect playground for this meaningful objective!

So to see by our arrangement of recently found camping seats.

And our reserve of zombie apocalypse surviving canned ravioli and canned beer 🍺

Just before the monsoon hit us ... again!!

The prior uplifting sunshine ended leaving us with a refreshing shower from above.

And turned the whole area into a kid at heart's outdoor paradise. ( Yes, I jumped into some puddles of course!)

The rain is over for now but the weather forecast for the next few days doea not look any more promising. Let's see how wet we'll get this night.

I honestly cannot confirm that I am here on this beautiful peninsula for one week already.

Das splash!20 ist vorbei und der Campingplatz wurde mit einem postapokalyptishen Schauplatz ausgetauscht.

Nur wahllos rumliegende Disentangling begleitet von 5.0ern und ner offenen Packung Wienerwürstchen, in der eine Letzte schlaff den Spagat zwischen Wiese und Plastikverpackung schafft, lassen auf das am Wochenende herrschende Treiben schließen.

Ganz nach dem Motto: "Der Müll der Gesellschaft ist unser Schatz", haben wir die Gunst der Stunde genossen und uns auf zum Sammeln gemacht. Ganz wie damals!

Geholfen hat dabei, dass unserem Camp der Strom abgeschaltet wurde. Sowohl Werkzeug als auch Smartphones wurden dadurch unbrauchbar und parallel dazu wurden ne Menge helfender Sammelhändchen frei.

Ravioli, Dosenbier, Campingstühle, Zelte, und diverse Dekoartikel zieren jetzt den Vorgarten unseres Camps.

Man könnte meinen, das postapolalyptische Gelände wäre nur paar Meter weiter gezogen.

Heute wurde dann fleißig sortiert, Tomate zu Tomate, Veganer Erbseneintopf zu veganen Erbseneintopf.

Ach ja! 498 Pfanddosen /-pflaschen haben wir heute schon zurück zu REWE gebracht.

Wolkenbruch im Paradies

Heute Nachmittag hat's dann nochmal richtig geschüttet! Da haben wir uns endlich nen Generator organisiert und neu verkabelt und würden als Belohnung von frischem Himmelswasser überrascht.

Zum Glück hatten wir dann unsere gesammelten Schätze schon in Sicherheit gebracht. Die Leute von Oxfam sind auch schon bei uns.

Der heutige Abend verspricht gute Aussicht. Jetzt muss nur noch der Wetterbericht mitspielen!

Eine Woche bin ich nun schon hier. Krass. Die Tage verschwimmen alle! Gut, dass ich sie dann unter @rootingrobert nachlesen kann :D
