EPHEMERAL ART INSTALLATION. Nevada City, June 2018.
Hello!
yesterday I worked on this piece of what I call ephemeral art.
This idea came to me during a Zazen meditation session. I just got this image of a painting of mine floating in threads in a space created by threads that resemble a spider web. I was very surprised by this image and I was then able to remember it after the session was over. I was intrigued.
This happened just over a year ago.
Last year I worked out this idea in a small format like this.
Then I made the pieces, painting on both sides, I did two different ones.
So then... it turned into this:
Anyway, that model I hung in the trees in Ibiza and then before I came over to California I took this one down that I had in my studio and thought it would be fun to put it up in different settings and see how each time the shape changes, depending on the available structure it will be hanging in.
So this is still an experiment I´m doing, it´s not a concluded work. I think that each time I build it into a structure I get new information to work with and find it still will mutate into something very different.
I´m sharing the process because I think more eyes can give more ideas and shape to this.
These are finally some pics of the version I did in Nevada City in a public square yesterday.
When I finished, I took photos and then took it down.
Next stop for this I hope will be in San Francisco. I say hope because I´m not sure if I will get the time for that, but I will try to fit it in also.
I hope you enjoyed this project I´m sharing and would love to hear any feedback.
Thank you.
This is also related to my work in this direction:

I like the idea of sculptural painting. It is alive and changing which is beautiful. Keep on! Resteemed!
Thank you Mirjana
Hello, Romanie. It's all very interesting. Any idea deserves attention and development. You need to go ahead and see what the result will be. Thank you for showing your creativity.
Thank you for that ! :-)

Great installation art. What a beautiful idea came from your mind through meditation. It seems you are an artist from your soul.👍
The painting and the cut shapes are full of movement... Trapped into some web.
With the sharp edges pointing out (from what I can see on photos), it's like if that concentrated energy was ready to get away full speed in every direction as soon as it was liberated.
Thanks for sharing theses :) Interesting concept.
Thank you for your comment on this. I have been travelling quite a bit and hadn´t opened steemit in days!
No problem, @romanie, I hope the trip was great :) :D
