The company said in a statement that Carell will star in the series, with marked comic tone, and will act as creator of the format with Daniels.

The action will be developed mainly in the workplace of those in charge of establishing that sixth division of the Armed Forces, which, according to Trump's intention, will be at the same level as the Armies of Air and Earth, the Navy, the Marine Corps. and the Coast Guard.

At the moment the number of episodes of the first season is not known since the scripts have not yet been written.

According to sources consulted by the magazine The Hollywood Reporter, the salary that Carell will receive for this series will set a new record as it will exceed one million dollars per episode, the highest mark so far, obtained by the cast of the CBS series " The Big Bang Theory ".

This is the return of Steve Carell to television after the seven seasons of "The Office" series that aired on NBC.

The actor, who now owns the films "Beautiful Boy", "Vice" and "Welcome to Marwen" in theaters, will also be a special guest in a new Apple format with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.

In June of last year, Donald Trump ordered the creation of a military force dedicated to operations in space, in order to ensure the American "dominance" of the cosmos and counteract the advances of China and Russia.

"There has to be a US domination in space ... We do not want China and Russia and other countries to take the lead," Trump said at a White House rally.

The president did not give details about the mission that "space force" would assume and merely indicated that he had ordered the chief of the Joint Staff of the US Army, General Joseph Dunford, to arrange the necessary process to create it.
