Portraits Series step by step 2/12

in #art6 years ago (edited)

Good morning to all the stemian community and happy week-end

Yesterday, after being absent for a while I went back to post to show them the product of my latest work, which is about a series of illustrated portraits for a group of people that is being promoted as a political grid for the next Electoral Period of the Hogar Canario Venezolano located in Caracas - Venezuela.

As promised, in each post I will show the process of one of the portraits until I get to show the twelve that complete the series, and here I leave the second!

The reference

This is José Ramón Arvelo, second in command of the group. Member of the outgoing team and great competitor of Criollo balls in the HCV.

The game of criollo balls is a sport practiced in Venezuela and in the Colombian city of Cúcuta. It has a certain kinship with European bocce and petanque sports, as well as bowls.

The Sketch

All the illustrations were made by hand, like the sketches; for this I used simply pencil and paper.

Coloration

For the coloring I used colored pencils with different tones to generate some volumetry and three-dimensionality as well as to capture every detail of the character in question, finally the outlined I did with a black fine point marker.

Delivery

The digitized illustration, with some adjustments in brightness and contrasts, remained that way; and the original illustration was delivered to each portrayed, all very happy with the result!
