Faith, Strive, and Patience | Back for good
Hiatus for months is like imprisonment: restraining myself from freedom-- which to me is making art.
Greetings Steemit friends!
Long time no post. I know I've missed a lot and never got the chance to excuse for a while from this awesome community. So, I'll take this chance to explain myself and also update you guys with my whereabouts. (as if I'm really that kind of popular haha) I don't want to sound so studious or nerd but my studies are getting the worst and best out of me these past few months. School sucks. Sorry for the word but I think, like me, every students got to the point of breakdowns, overthinking failed academic performances and beating themselves beyond limits while at the same time battling with more draining dilemmas about their social and personal issues; all at once, it could be too much. But of course, nothing worth it comes easy. No pain, no gain. After a semester of taking multiple major subjects, we immediately delve into much stressful yet challenging summer of internship. Apparently, instead of having long vacations on beaches, we were at our assigned agency whole day, six times a week. It took most of my time because, not that we were obliged to but because we are expected to produce high quality outputs in a short span of time.
The company that I'm currently in advocates in promoting local products in various fields: films, traditional art, digital art, writing, and especially music. As of now, we're aiming to revive a local music channel, which existed few years ago, to continue supporting local musicians. So, it's like an opportunity for me to be an actual part of the team after I graduate, if this project will work out. I'm really grateful and happy where I am now.
I made this a couple of weeks ago for Mother's Day. A tribute for the recent films I've watched which starred inspiring stories of how amazing mothers are.
This is one of the behind-the-scene clips for the promotional video we made for the company that hosts our internship. I'm also the one who directed and edited this short skit.
So, what now?
In the first place, why the heck am I making this kind of blog? (haha just kidding) Honestly, I really missed writing blogs about my day, making artworks to share in here, sharing some films that I really put a lot of effort into and I know this might sound cheesy but... I really missed the people in here. To have such a mature and uplifting community like this is a blessing. You guys are a blessing to me. I wish I had the energy to be active these past days but I really needed a rest from Steemit and serve one master at a time. As much as this community celebrates self-expression and freedom, still, I value the fact that this is a pool of artists who don't rush art and seeks to bring out the potentials we have, which to me, takes quite a time. This community has a special place in my heart since it helped me soar from my downfall, so I can't quit just like that. Enough drama. Hahaha. I want to share to you guys the films and artworks that I've made during my inactivity here. I promised myself to present good contents in here not for praises and recognition but to inspire others to be patient with self-growth while never giving in to compromise at the same time; ourselves should always be our strictest judge.
A short thank you video for a successful event we took part of, about appreciating literature in films.
An artwork for those people who dresses like this in my country. I made this during my internship.
Conclusion
My point is that, I want to share my love for Steemit to everyone. This community is a witness of my growth as an artist. I'm so grateful and now more eager to share what I have; not just the skills I've learned but also the values that made me earn it. Just like everyone else, I know I still got a lot to learn including mistakes but it doesn't mean that we have the right to insult ourselves for being unfinished products. I really respect individual progress so no matter how many times I fall, my passion will always drive me to keep going.
Truth is, in the end, nothing really matters except the few things you madly love. They are my home, my fuel, my inspiration.
So, I wanna tell you guys that from now on I'm gonna post more blog about my life and interests such as art, films, photography, food, and even gaming. Speaking of gaming, I'm thinking of making a gaming content like a playthrough or recording myself playing any games.
