HOW TO DRAW WATER DROPS (Step by Step)
Hi Lovelies!!!☺️😘 TGIF!!!!😄😄
How are you all doing today??!!
Someone once told me that artists are very good at creating illusions. Well I didn't understand this until I began to take art seriously. Now visual artists are one of the best people on Earth that can create illusions of any form from 3D art, to some random hyperealistic drawings. I even came to conclusion that magic is also a form of art since you have to be very good at creating illusions to be a very good magician. Here's a drawing of water drops I did just to illustrate that fact. For those of my friends here that have ever wondered how artist make drawings of water drops, don't worry, I'm here to enlighten you.🤗☺️
The materials I used for this drawing are;
- A HB pencil (for sketching)
- A black charcoal pencil (for shades and darkness)
- A white charcoal pencil (for highlights)
- An eraser (for erasing and blending)
- A Smudger ( for blending and shading)
STEP 1
First, I sketch out the drops of water with my HB pencil. This will help as a guide when I start using the charcoal pencil.
STEP 2
I enhance the outline of the water drop with my charcoal Pencil.
STEP 3
I started blending and adding highlights with my Smudger and eraser respectively. I also shaded the background for a more realistic look.
STEP 4
Finally, I used my white charcoal pencils to add more highlights to the water drops to make them look more realistic and also enhanced the outlines using my black charcoal pencil.
Thank you for reading this post lovelies☺️. I hope you were able to learn one or two things from this post. For those who'll like to try out, I'll be glad to see your works (You can do so by mentioning)🙂.
Stay tuned for my next art post guys.

lol, you make it seem so easy with your instructions. I would imagine this is very basic for you, right?
I do like the step-by-step though, that is my favorite aspect of your blog.
It's actually not too difficult to try out😄. These are the basic steps but the results would differ from person to person. Practice makes perfect. We get better at making art when we keep practicing.
I'm glad you like that aspect of my post. I'm still trying to be better at it though. Thanks for the support.🙂
