SPRAY PAINT STREET ART - "THE MEXICAN PICASSO"

in #art6 years ago

Watching this stuff is amazing!

While down in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico, we ran into this incredible street artist. Like many artists who use spray paint and some peculiar techniques to create amazing artwork, he was a pleasure to watch and we were glad that our @little-peppers were able to check it out in person.

Often, from the finished product alone, you don't really appreciate all of the work that goes into a piece like this. I sped up his work 2X to make the video a little shorter, so the actual process was twice as long. Still, for twenty minutes, I think he did amazing.

I asked him if I could video, and he said "$5 for the show," in a joking manner, but I still thanked him and paid up. Upon finishing, he referred to himself as "the Mexican Picasso," so that's what I'll call him too, although I was able to make more sense of his art than his namesake.

Guy is a genius amazing 💯🐒

Yeah, totally. We just saw his brother make a different one today, and we bought it!

Wow runs in the family, some of the best talent goes unnoticed and ends up selling on the market I find. Did you get him on Steemit to sell on here haha 💯🐒

WOW!!! Stunning art - I hope you are taking that one home to hang on your wall RESTEEMED😍🍀🦋🌈🌴🌅

Okay, @papa-pepper. That. Was. Spectacular.

I know the video was sped up, but he still did that painting in around 20-30 minutes right? The speed alone would be amazing, but the fact that it actually looked like anything, looked awesome, was so detailed and with all the vibrant colors. I'm literally shaking my head. This guy is good.

The flame throwing at the end, though. That's worth the price, right there. :)

Did you guys happen to purchase that work of art? Or was that for someone else?

It was for the other man standing by, otherwise I would have bought it. Yeah, it only took him about 20 minutes total, and that fire is a cool way to dry it!

Hey love your version of this Street Spray Art...

When i was at mallorca i buyed me this one

years ago.... its amazing to see what they do in a short time and less of techniques

Wow, my love for street art is unimaginable, apart from the fact the where I stay, street art isn't common I still love it. Most time I get to watch this Hollywood teens movies where you would see some art in display.
@papa-pepper doesn't he have an account or a net for where I can follow him up and keep an eye on him. I really love his talent. My regards to him.

I'll ask him if I see him today, but it may be unlikely.

I'll really appreciate that.

This is so interesting

It really is!

Now that is what I call a most amazing way to spend your time, watching someone create something beautiful out of an empty canvas! I see these street artists all over Mexico and the Caribbean and they still put me in awe.

So adept at throwing down the right colors and shapes and texturing with tools and layer upon layer of paint. And it looks like they are just putting it together with no purpose and it comes out looking like wall-worthy art.

I would have to say you got off cheap for the $5.00 show.

Thanks for showing off his God-given talent.

Upped and Steemed

Tip!

I was glad to pay him just to watch. WE went back today and watched his brother... this time we bought the painting too.

I have paid to watch too. Gladly. Kudos for going back and supporting the local artists. They are truly amazing.

Have a great night and I would love to see it hung!!
