Greetings, I continue illustrating demons my favorite topic this morning I present a demon taken from the same hell that comes from the same hades to terrorize you, I have invested 19 hours of painting for this demon and without a doubt it is one of my favorites for him to inspire me in the GHOST RIDER movie, get comfortable and enjoy the process.

PREPARING THE BRUSHES / PREPARANDO LOS PINCELES

There are four brushes I use in this painting, pastel chalk, oils, diffuser and texture. Son cuatro los pinceles que utilice en esta pintura, la tiza pastel, el oils, difuminador y textura.

WE START / COMENCEMOS

The first thing we will do is create a canvas to proceed to make our sketch, in the first volume I will explain how to configure the canvas, click on NEW.

Lo primero que haremos es crear un lienzo para proceder a realizar nuestro boceto, en el primer volumen te explique como configurar el lienzo, hacemos clik en NEW.

The next thing is to fill the whole canvas with the selected grain texture to get something like I show you in this image, use the ADD GRAIN brush with an opacity of 5 and 10 grain of percentage.

Lo siguiente es llenar todo el lienzo con la textura de grano seleccionada para obtener algo como te muestro en esta imagen, utiliza el pincel ADD GRAIN con una opacidad de 5 y grano 10 de porcentaje.

What we will do in the next step is once we have our textured canvas we are going to paint it brown. This step is important to maximize the realism of the chalk and oils that we will apply later.

Lo que haremos en el siguiente paso es una vez que tengamos nuestro lienzo texturizado vamos a pintarlo de color marrón. Este paso es importante para maximizar el realismo de las tizas y el oils que vamos aplicar mas adelante.

PAINTING WITH CHALKS / PINTANDO CON TIZAS

Basically on top of my textured and painted canvas of marro I select the pastel chalk and start to give shape to my demon.

Básicamente encima de mi lienzo texturizado y pintado de marro selecciono la tiza pastel y empieza a dar forma a mi demonio.

Pastel chalks have the characteristics that when making strokes with a small diameter you can acquire a texture similar to a normal chalk.

Las tizas pasteles tienen la características de que al realizar trazos con un diámetro pequeño puedes adquirir una textura similar a una tiza normal.

Little by little my demon comes alive, I want to tell you that I take 2 hour breaks when I am more than 4 hours on the pc, because I get tired and things do not work out well, so I recommend you rest.

Poco a poco mi demonio va cobrando vida, quiero decirles que yo me tomo descansos de 2 horas cuando estoy mas de 4 horas en la pc, porque me canso y no me salen las cosas bien, asi que te recomiendo descansar.

I finish the process of painting with pastel chalks, although I do not believe it is where I take longer, because I must create a perfect symmetry by not starting from a pencil sketch if not creating something pure imagination, then we go to the painting process with oils that it is simpler and finally the texture.

Listo el proceso de pintura con tizas pasteles, aunque no lo creas es donde tardo mas, debido que debo crear una simetría perfecta al no partir de un boceto a lápiz si no creando algo a pura imaginación, luego pasamos al proceso de pintura con oils que es mas sencillo y por ultimo la textura.

OILS APPLICATION / APLICACIÓN DE OILS

It is important that the brush setting is at an opacity of 38 to achieve a great finish. Es importante que la configuración del pincel este en una opacidad de 38 para lograr un acabado genial.

You can see in the left illustration how little by little I was creating an exoskeleton for my demon.
Puedes ver en la ilustración izquierda como poco a poco fui creando un exoesqueleto para mi demonio.
