Sisters
Vague
Anna just stared out of the window, watching the snow fall onto the street below, the flakes appeared yellow under the soft glow of the street lights. She looked like a model from the 90's, after twenty years of hard partying. Her hair was a brittle bottle blonde, over bleached and abused, with a heavy scent of nicotine. Cigarettes were one of her major food groups, and probably what was keeping her so painfully thin, that and the chocolate laxatives that were sticking out of her handbag.
The kettle clicked, her sister Claire filled up the rosebud teapot and took down two cups from the cupboard.
Claire used to envy Anna's celebrity lifestyle, after she had spent her 20's having kids and holding down various part-time admin jobs. Now she just felt sorry for Anna, a washed up C-list celeb who spent her days living in a dream world.
Anna was still stood looking out of the window, as if waiting for someone to walk down the street. Claire put a cup of tea on the table next to her, she glanced down at the cup then reached for the bottle of Jack Daniel's in her bag. Claire was making small talk, Anna gave the odd vague answer but really she wasn't listening. She just continued to look through her own reflection in the window to the snow falling outside.
She's gorgeous, and thanks to your description she came to life! I just discovered your account, I like what I'm seeing here :-)
Such a striking piece!
Impressive choice of coloring I like the yellow Color scheme
Glad you like the palette for this piece, thank you.
I loved the story of Ana and her sister, a very realistic story, more than one woman will feel identified with this story, it is amazing how the mind of the people could look at the nothingness, a trip that has no border.
you are very talented dear friend, whatever you do surprise with mastery, congratulations
The work as always very beautiful
I wish you a beautiful weekend
The original title of the image was Vague Blonde, so I wanted to create a short piece of writing that would tell a story behind her expression. Have a great weekend too @jlufer!
I have always flattered how well you can reproduce facial features and human eyes few are the artists that get this
I wish you a happy rest
Good post. @opheliafu.
Nice writing @opheliafu
I know people like Anna and it seems quite sad to me. But we all travel down our own path, don't we?
