RE: My Artwork

in #art7 years ago

Nice drawings @wisewoof. I like Tonberry one a lot. Are these copied or original works? Going after meditative creative work is a wonderful way of lef healing. I remember myself how I was spending hous and hours when I was a teenager copying surreal master works of Magritte and Dali on smaller sized canvases with acrylic paint for hours. I learned so much of that "study".
Sadly I gave up on painting, when I went to university, after computer work took over about 100% of dayly time. I should definitely get back into painting.
Thank you for shring.

Thankyou, I'm glad you like them! Some are copied, some are a mixture and some are original. It truly is healing, I can't even begin to think what my life might've been like if I didn't have this outlet during those times. I have a few paintings to share in a future post about mental struggles that really show my psychological state during those times, they're kinda "crazy". That's super cool, I'd love to see! I hope you do! We both should definitely get back into it, the benefits to mind/body/spirit are powerful.

I would love to see my painting as well. Looooong time ago! (about 20 years) And they where all given away as presents after they where finished. No chance to get a look at them. Sorry.

Awwe I know the feeling! I gave away a lot of my art too. And the rest was simply lost. <33

Yes... and lost. I got thinking about painting already lately, after being on the water colours with my kids and with the first stroke on the paper - ZOOOOMM- I was in the zone. While growing up, one really has to fight to keep the own child within alive. And having children helps to accomplish that. Well, at least having young children....

Very true, I hope to one day have children but for now my animals play that role it seems haha

Did a small write up on an art related event here in the garden inspired by our conversation here. Thank you very much for the inspiration!

My pleasure! :D
