Amalthea, an eccentric moon Goddess, an acrylic canvas, 16 x 20', by @mongoosely
Good evening, STEEMIANS!
And finally....I bring you, Amalthea, the last and 5th in the series of my moon Gods/Goddesses.
The truth is, I actually thought I had painted four only and was totally surprised to find this painting hiding behind a stack of paintings. I guess you could say, I paint only for myself and enjoy letting go of the outside world and getting lost in creating.
I never stop to think, oh let me set up a camera and lighting to demonstrate how it's done so I can later post a tutorial on social media. If I had to go through all that rigmarole when I get the urge to paint, I would lose that spontaneous feeling and wouldn't bother. Perhaps one day I'll get to that stage, but it's not about the bitcoins!
Of course I would love to have more interaction on my post(s) by conditions and terms pointed out to me... on several occasions. But I'm stubborn that way and only do things on my terms.
I am here to share my art and earning bitcoins is just a bonus!
So as mentioned previously, after I finished these paintings, I struggled to come up with titles/names since these characters were not of this Earth. It was then moon Gods came to mind and decided to do a bit of research and imagined these characters were citizens of moons in our vast galaxy.
Amalthea is the 5th and largest moon of Jupiter.
Any thoughts?
