Studio sunday

There is a Finnish saying that translates roughly as follows "It's a lazy person that recites his tasks" as i've not been to the studio so much, i thought it fitting. I did go last sunday, did some painting and had a little fun as well. I've been playing with this Tarot app on my phone and happened to draw The Magician that morning and it would be the inspiration for the painting i did that day. The magician also popped up in youtube recommendations later that night on a video about archetypes, a funny coincidence. The magician is fairly important character and with that this series kind of picks up where i was left with my exhibition in the summer.

So for the painting, i poured some pigments and and little bit of the medium i had. I also used just little bit of Alizarin crimson from tube.

And it became this. I have a horrible top light there unfortunately.

I was about to clean up and was left with good amount of paint.

I mixed it all together. I had few left over pieces of preprimed canvas, though pretty damaged. Suddenly i was in the realm of monotype.

Then i got more goofy and did this...

and this came out of that. It was so much fun.

So here is the wall, with the red one from last session. One more canvas to go to finish this series.
