What happens when you shoot long exposures of graffiti with sparklers. 🎆

in #art7 years ago

I had some sparklers left over from a wedding gig; so I wondered what'd happen if I shoot long exposures of graffiti at night, while outlining the murals with a sparkler.

So I packed my car and headed to Brooklyn. These re the results...

I haven't done this idea since 2012 - perhaps I should give it another shot this summer (no pun intended).

Very cool - did you use white or colored sparklers?

Just regular sparklers. I think they had a white / blue hue.

Incredibly creative and amazing results! thanks for sharing @mikeycolon ! (careful not to get mugged for tampering with street graffiti's though lol)

The legit artists aren't thugs. It's the vandals you've got to worry about. Lol

Yoooo this is so dope man! What a fabulous idea!

Thanks for the reSteem - I appreciate it.

This is awesome! think I prefer it to the LED one actually!!

LOL - me too. But you never know unless you experiment / try.
