Last Time on Twitch

Happy Thursday, friends! On Tuesday, we knitted with silk mawata. By stretching the silk into a long roving, it can be knitted, crocheted, or woven with without adding any twist to the fibers. It creates a fluffy, lightweight fabric with lots of shine. The only downfall to knitting with silk in this manner is that the silk catches on everything. This fabric isn't something you can wear with zippers, velcro, etc.
