Having seen my artistic inclinations from a very young age, my grandmother gave me my first set of oil paints at age 15. In the past 23+ years as an oil painter, I am constantly reminded of the career path that this gift would open.

I drew this portrait as a gift for my grandmother on her 90th birthday. She only lived for 2 more years before gracefully slipping out of her human form into what lies beyond..
