Natural wonder lands in Nigeria
I had the opportunity of touring round some big cities and what I found out is so cool and awesome.
Then I know that our country Nigeria is really blessed with natural endowed, inspiring gift from the creator.
Our country have natural sites that can make us not to be dependent on oil, while the flow of inbound tourist would have impacted positively on the country's economy.
There are ten(10) wonderful and most amazing natural site in the country.
(1) Confluence of River Niger and Benue.
This is where the two great rivers at lokoja forming Y-shape structure and flow into the Atlantic. River Beune is greenish while River Niger is brownish. That two giant are s of water spread-eagle on an expanse of land dotted with green vegetation. That can be seen on coat of arm.
(2) Olumo Rock
This is an anicent formation of granite rocks, which is located in Abeokuta in Ogin State. The rock is about 137m above the sea level and it has natural caves.
(3) Obudu Mountain Resort
This is situated in the highlands of Cross River State;it has a temperate temperature. This happens to be a man made wonder in Nigeria.
(4) Owu Falls
Owu falls is situated Ifelodun in Kwara State. This is one of the most amazing natural waterfall in Nigeria. The waterfall is about 120m above the water level and flows 330ft down to the pool of ice-cold water below.
(5) Ogbunike Cave
This cave is located in Ogbunike in Oyi L.G.A of Anambra state. There the wonder of creation is divided into sections and there are stories about each section.
(6) Mambilla Plateau
This is located in highland region of Tarawa State. It hosts the Chappal Waddi Mountain, which is the highest point in Nigeria with a height of 2,419m.
(7) Yankari Games Reserve
This game reserve is located in Bauchi State. This is the richest wildlife Oasis in the country, with about 350 elephant inherbitants. It is home to the largest remnant elephant. The reserve occupies a landmass of about 2,244km² and is covered mainly by Sudan Savannah vegetation.
(8) Okomu wildlife
This Sanctuary is one of the largest forest reserves in Nigeria. This Sanctuary is home to many wildlife animals such as Chimpanzee, Buffallo, monkey, popular white-throated monkey, which has been said to be in danger of extinction.
(9) Farin Ruwa Falls
This waterfall is located in wamba l.g.a of Nasarawa State. Is a such magnificent natural spectacle. It has the height of 150m and 50m wide.
(10) Ikogosi Warm/cold Spring
This spring is located in Ekiti State. This natural wonders is sited in a valley where the warm spring rises from a valley while the cold spring flows down from another source, side by side but separate from the warm spring.
All this wonderful site are all in our country Nigeria and it all have it's value if the country will forget oil a bit to reinvest and make this tourist zone to be more valued.
