I heard learning to paint in watercolor is a great way to exercise your brain into seeing and expressing colors(and not value). So as practice I made an illustrating a few OC's (original characters) @puppyfight and I came up with. This was my first completed drawing in water color. I'm currently using derwent water color pencils and Sakura portable pallet.

This image shows Dia the male guardian figure and Glu(left) and Grav(right). I tried to capture the characters dynamic relationship. In both composition, gesture and color. Both of these girls give their guardian a hell of a time.

So far my experience with watercoloring can be summed up like this, "It's like trying to tame a river." (and it'd be easier if I used watercolor paper).

Sort:

sweet artwork, I have no idea who those characters are though, watercolour art is really difficult to master, as It takes time, and mistakes can be glaring at times.

maybe once youre done, you could scan it into a computer for final processing and sweetening. Thatsb what pros do if memory serves me right.

Hah I have had more than my share of accidental drips out of the line during this painting.

see, thats what grinds my gear about these sort of things, tech is catching up though, full watercolour works can now be created using a mouse and a screen

I've done allot of digital art, and over time you can really see the difference between traditional and digital. Like digital will never be able to replicate oil paints, because oil paints have physical depth. Good Convo. I totally get your point.

Amazing drawing! your OCs look cute lol, Followed :D

They are so anime we love them.

Goodness seeing this on here makes me want to draw comics of what these three do all day!

Yes it's your turn to do a skit of them. ^•^
