Today I will be teaching you how to make a Basket.

Equipments
•Cane
•plywood
•nail
•An awl pliers
•Plain weaving wood
•A ruler or a tape

Step 1
purchase a pre-cut base or cut yours from 6mm plywood (any improvised material could be used).

Step 2
Lay out the drill an odd number of holes about 16mm apart and 6mm away from the edge of the plywood base.The hole should be large enough to let go through your needs

Step 3
Count the number of holes then cut an equal number of reed stakes (to the holes). Make your stakes to be reasonably long,while taking into consideration about another 10cm which shall be used for the base of the basket.

Step 4
Start your weaving with the base border by taking one stake and bending it down and behind the next stake.

Step 5
Use soaked Weaver to do your project.Weavers are usually soaked so as to make them pliable..
In an upright position and with a weaver of about 1m ling,you can start your project.place the weaver between two stakes with one end extended about 3cm inside the stakes on your right and then behind the next one

Step 6
Continue this pattern until you use up the first reed.Your weaving must not be too tight and your weaver must remain vertically upward

Step 7
Continue weaving until the proper height is reached.

Step 8
Trim the stakes in the required length

Step 9
Finish your project by making the borders use scallop weaver to finish.The ends of each stake is forced down beside the stake to the left.
