Neptune in black charcoal

The awesomeness of a God

(Roman God who governs the waters. Neptune.)

I have always been interested in the grandeur of the sea and it has been inevitable for me to look at the figure of Neptune as a representation of it.

This time I wanted to flow and soak in this fascinating theme through the drawing, solving this piece with black charcoal, which is based on sculpture by Lambert-Sigisbert Adam 1725

In my walk through art I have considered the sculptures of Roman mythology as an ideal preamble for the study of the portrait, creating the space to study the transition from light to shadow that allows the texture of these marble figures.

Breaking through the folds, edges and curves of the surface of a sculpture creates the perfect space to study the volume of an object and its behavior from the incidence of light.

If you like art, I invite you to experiment through the study of sculptures of this characteristic. In my case it has been very rewarding experience, which has helped me to develop attention to details that at some point escape reality but allow you to feel about the unknown

Thank you very much @artzone

Great work!! These statues are so much fun to draw. The contrast is what makes them so interesting to me.

Thank you @chadizms I totally agree with you. For me they are a source of learning wherever I look at them.

Beautiful sketch @jesusdrp. Good work on shading. :)

Thank you very much for watching! The black charcoal gives special value to the shadows that made me turn to look at it with more interest.

Have you considered posting a little more in depth on the subject? More than one picture at a time, or at least with some context and explanation of the event and your process? Possibly your own review of the band? I think it would increase the quality of your posting immensely. Particularly for something like concert photography I am sure that readers would love to hear every aspect of the story :)

Hey! That's what is called a contribution. Thank you very much for the advice, I'm relatively new to steemit and I'm barely testing myself. I appreciate your contribution and believe me I will take it into account.

so thrilling to see your hit, sth called exceptional. Wait for it much. Cheers! @jesusdrp!
