Am I Beautiful Yet? [Original Video]

in #art8 years ago

A couple weeks ago I dreamt up a little video idea which I ended up doing with a good friend of mine. I explained the idea, we went through it once, and then with one take she performed it.

The video revolves around ideas of beauty and beauty standards, which sometimes leave already attractive women (and men) looking disfigured in a panic quest to be considered beautiful by society's standard.

I had mixed emotions, when I read the texts up there - I feel for those women and when I was watching the first part I thought - she is prettier with her hair laid back.
Then came the last part - vampire ! I laughed - like she did - I wonder how she's contained it but I couldn't when she ate that load of red ...curses!

Nice work man! Thanks for bringing awareness to what's acceptable In societies "standards". Beauty, starts from within...Not the other way around-

The human female is one of God's most beautiful creations. Leave it to mankind to corrupt and screw it up. I've seen many women with so much makeup caked on and enough perfume to choke a horse. Make up is made to enhance beauty not make it. My wife uses very little make up and I love her just that way.

Holy Cow. I watched this video twice - once with the sound, and once with the video muted. This video is such a simple, beautiful and powerful representation of the disconnect society feels between whats expected from someone who is deemed "beautiful" and how we feel as individuals trying to reach that realm of "ultimate beauty".

Love it. very creative. excellent work :-)

wow what an idea. cool! I love women without makeup. Resteemed :D
