Here is an Original carved wood cartoon snake sculpture. This little guy actually has a name, and that name is Coby. Coby first appeared on an internet livestream comedy show called "The Williams St. Swap Shop" on adultswim.com. It's an amazing hour long internet about two men, Zach and Matt, who aim to spread the awareness of the swap based economy by swapping listeners items. At 1pm (M-F) EST These two gentlemen take listeners phone calls and shoot the S*** about pretty much anything with live callers which creates fun interactive entertainment. I personally haven't had the time to watch live or call in yet. I either catch the reruns or watch the archived shows on adultswim.com.

Anyway Zach and Matt introduced a new character to the show called Coby the Cobra who tried to sell you discounted electronics. He's a particularly sad character who continues to fall on hard times including one instance that caused him to lose an eye. This is just a work in progress but Coby is a purple color with yellow areas inside the hood and a black eyepatch. I thought it would be cool to show what he looks like in his current state and show it in gray primer with some wood grain and sanding scratches. I've always liked to see the hand done quality in things.

This Actually started out from a broken wooden snake sculpture I had found at a thrift store a while back. I had planned on using the remaining wood in the snakes head to carve a out a new face and repaint it to create something new from a broken broken knickknack, but I never got around to it and it ended up in a box in the attic. Recently I uncovered it and thought it would be cool to make a small wooden Coby the one eyed snake. Below you can see some to the paint peaking through from the original sculpture.

Hope you all enjoyed seeing some of the progress photos of my wood carving project. If you have a chance check out William Street Swap Shop. Give them a call, submit something to swap, or just watch and enjoy. Its all in good fun. Once I'm finished painting Coby I'll post some photos on Steemit and maybe you will even see him being swapped on the show.
