Of Art and Love: More Goodies!
Hello Steemit loves! I hope things went according to your plans.
I just want to update you all on how I had been these past few days and what I had been up to. I think you have an idea about it base on the photo below.
By the way, this blog post is not an ad or sponsored by any of the companies that sell these merchandises.
Spoil me, not.
First and foremost, I am very grateful to my mom who had been so supportive about the things that I love doing. I think she was able to see how obsessed I had been to journaling lately and making different crafts. To show her support on me, she really spoiled me by giving me few bucks to buy the things I love.
I am literally tearing up right now.
Anyhow, that is too much of my drama already, fhese were my purchases at FullyBooked and Miniso that I made few days ago. I swear, those place is totally evil because they sell a bunch of things that I really love.
Since the label maker that I purchased from Lazada came and I consumed the free black tape that was given to me, I decided to buy a set of label maker at FullyBooked for the price of Php 349.00. It was a good bargain though because a piece of this set is being sold at the price of Php 99.00. I also decided not to buy the tapes online because the shipping fee is expensive for me. There is an array of colors by the way but I choose this set. It comes with dark blue, transparent, red, and silver.
I also bought these cute notebooks which are great for journaling for the price of Php 80.00 each only. The paper inside is thick and is good for scrapbooking as well or writing down your thoughts or experiences from your memory lane.
I also bought three light/ faint colored tapes at FullyBooked for the price of Php 50.00. I just love its effect on the surface that I am trying to put it on to. It is totally matte.
The two butterly/mushroom designed washi tape were the stuff I bought at Minisoo. Each tape costs Php99.00. I just really hope they would sell their tapes on a lower or discounted price so I can buy a variety of their tapes ranging from fashion themed, fairy tale themed, and a lot more. By the way, I would also be grateful is you send me some of your washi samples or any stationery from your country. Hehe! That is so shameless of me.
I bought these products on a Sunny day and my throat has been hurting a lot. I decided to have a stop at Starbucks Lim Ket Kai branch and bought this sparkling water. It was so ignorant of me that I reacted to its taste. Well, it was actually okay but it would have been better (based on my taste) if I blend it with something that adds more kick or a tangy taste.
I could have ordered a coffee at Sbux right? But I have thought that it was just too much for me and I could buy something else instead of buying an expensive coffee.
Another by the way, Sbux is expensive to most of the Filipino people since the purchasing power of the Philippine Peso is not that high. The typical salary of a Filipino is also just enough to sustain his daily needs, while some cannot even sustain all of their needs. Well, we will take about that some other time.
I went home straight after buying the things that satisfied my art cravings. I was just so sleepy but then I asked my mom if whether or not we could have a short walk at the back of SM Cagayan. Gladly, she said yes.
We had an hour of walking, after that I asked her if we could buy some memo pads. I find it very useful for my tutee, who by the way is my cousin Athena.
Blessing in disguise!
Instead of buying some memo pads, I ended up buying zip locks. Near the cashier then, my mom and I saw some clothes that were on sale. SM Women's clothes were sold at discounted prices. The ones that we bought were discounted 50%.
We did not realized that there was an extra 50% discount, not until we paid for the items and the cashier told us the price of the items we bought. So instead of heading home, mom and I added some clothes on our cart. Imagine that a dress sold for Php 1000.00+ was sold only for the price of Php 200.00 or Php 250.00. I could not help but giggle.
More goodies!
I really thought my stationery craze would end there but it did not. My mom asked me if I could run some errands with her and be with her while she would meet up one of her students on her previous school. I agreed with her.
My mom ended up buying a travel notebook for me. I decided then to use the label maker with transparent tape to put my name at the cover. It was just sold for the price of Php 480.00. I know there are those travel notebooks which are more expensive, but I am really happy for what mom bought for me.
I also had been eyeing for this clear stamps lately. I really looked on the different stationery shops and malls in Cagayan de Oro. I was so happy when I found this awhile ago. I bought this for the price of Php 84.00!
My purchase should have ended there but then I saw this We Bare Bears sticky notes. I was like, I think I still have enough money for another sticky note set so I bought this.
I was like, I can finally fill my review books with notes written on these lovely sticky notes.
Aside from those stuff that were mentioned, I bought other stuff at SM Department store after my tutorial session with Athena. I bought a drawer tray for the price of Php 69.75. I also bought some ziplocks (three sets of it) for my stickers, and a pen from Pentel for the price of Php 84.00.
Gosh! I think if I become a multimillionaire, a portion of it I would spent it on art materials and stationeries.
And this is a photo of me (and my huge eyebags). I just cannot help but be happy of the things my mom and I bought for me. I hope to find a time to make craft with you all. I hope I can also find a penpal whom I can share my future writings.
Take care always!
Always in love,
Johanna Gail
