Espero que se encuentren muy bien. El dia de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una de mis obras de artes favoritas:

El Grito

El Grito es el nombre de una serie de cuatro cuadros del pintor noruego Edvard Munch.

Esta es la cuarta y última versión de El Grito que fue vendida en una subasta en Nueva York el 2 de mayo de 2012 por 119,9 millones de dólares.

Como pueden ver, en los cuatro cuadros se muestra una figura (no se sabe si hombre o mujer) con una expresión de desespero y angustia en su rostro. El paisaje de fondo es la colina de Ekeberg en Oslo.

Munch encontró la inspiración para hacer este cuadro en su atormentada vida. Fue educado por un padre muy estricto; en 1890 su hermana favorita Laura fue internada en un psiquiátrico gracias al diagnostico de un trastorno bipolar.

El Grito forma parte de las más importantes obras hechas por Edvard Munch y se considera una imagen de ícono cultural, parecido al de la Gioconda de Leonardo Da Vinci.

El estilo que Munch usó en este cuadro me gusta a mí particularmente porque utilizó una muy buena combinación de colores cálidos, además, considero que este cuadro transmite mucho el arte del expresionismo ya que si notamos el rostro de la figura podemos sentir la desesperación que transmite.

Munch inmortalizó este sentimiento pintando un cuadro que representaba a un hombre con un sombrero de copa, de medio lado, inclinado mirando al vacio con resignación y en un lugar parecido al de su vida personal llamándolo La Desesperación.

Pero el resultado no le gustó mucho, así que decidió hacer otro cuadro, esta vez con una figura que no se sabe si es hombre o mujer, de frente mostrando el rostro y transmitiendo más los sentimientos que se encontraban en él al pintarla; la primera versión de El Grito.

Esto quiere decir, que La Desesperación puede ser considerada como a primera versión o la fuente de inspiración de El Grito.

I hope you’re very well. Today I want to share with you one of my favorite works of art:

The Scream

The Scream is the name of a series of four paintings by the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch.

As you can see, in the four pictures a figure is shown (we don’t know if man or woman) with an expression of despair and anguish on his face. The background landscape is the Ekeberg hill in Oslo.

Munch found inspiration to make this picture in his tormented life. He was educated by a very strict father; in 1890 his favorite sister Laura was admitted to a psychiatric hospital thanks to the diagnosis of a bipolar disorder.

The Scream It’s one of the most important works done by Edvard Munch and is considered an image of a cultural icon, similar to the Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci.

The style that Munch used in this painting I like particularly because he used a very good combination of warm colors, also, I consider that this painting transmits the art of expressionism because if we notice the face of the figure we can feel the despair that transmits.

Munch immortalized this feeling by painting a painting depicting a man with a top hat, on his side, leaning into the void with resignation and in a place similar to his personal life calling him The Despair.

But he didn’t like very much the result, so, he decided to make another painting, this time with a figure that is not known if it is male or female, facing the face and transmitting more the feelings that were in it when painting it; the first version of The Scream.

This means that The Despair can be considered as the first version or the source of inspiration of The Scream.
