RE: Reading corner...

in #art6 years ago

I discovered your work via @solar.

The orange corner of the armchair smells like crusty vintage leather. The warm colors make the scene heavy, but your stroke is light and fluid. It's empty, and I see the traces of a human presence. I am attracted to it!

Did you draw fast? What was the rythm of your stroke? Do you first draw lines and then the watercolors, or vice versa. What are your tools/brands?

I follow you :D

Thank you so much @enbyx for your kind words :)

To answer your questions: Yes, I draw fast. I tend to keep my pen on the paper when I draw and just follow the contour of the objects I'm drawing. I'm just learning the watercolor medium so I do the lines first and then add color to the parts that are in the shadow.

I love ink and fountain pens. So I mostly use that to draw. I love De Atramentis document inks because they're water resistant. And for watercolors my favorite brands are Daniel Smith and M.Graham.
