Sacred Geometry Mandala for 12-21-2016 - [original artwork ] & ★ All of My Designs Since Joining Steemit ★
Hello Steemians. I've created a unique sacred geometry mandala for you this winter solstice. This is the shortest day of the year where the sun is at it's lowest point on the horizon. From here it will begin to rise.
As I built this mandala I thought about how this day effects us all since we and everything is so directly connected.
It's been a good time for inner reflections.
Making Sacred Geometry Mandala's Since Being on Steemit
When I first came to Steemit I struggled thinking of what I would post. I wanted to help myself, but help others. I then remembered the therapeutic value I gained from making them long ago, and so I began to make them.
If Steemit did not exist I probably would not be making these. But I've made a lot of them since being here.
Besides the one I just made today that is at the top here are all of the others I've built. A lot of work!
It's been interesting hearing which ones people like.
Thank you Steemit for inspiring me to make these!

They are all really cool but I think this one and the owl are my favorites.
How's my buddy Daemon doing? :D
Thanks @merej99. Daemon is doing well :)
Nice one. I like the colour fade.
Thank you @inphiknit !
Cheers^^
Now this is my kind of art! I love mandalas and what you've done here. It reminds of when I happened upon a geometry program a few years ago and really enjoyed being able to make some precise and complex mandalas much faster.. How did you make these??
Awesome. Glad you like @richardcrill. :)
These days I'm using Adobe Illustrator, but I also have used CorelDraw.
For about 8 years I worked for a sign company where we would have to draw to scale the buildings the signs were being installed on. This serves all kinds of purposes. So, in that time I became fond of architecture and the tools to use to try and get as precise as possible. I also got into symbolism, and their meaning/purpose. Through this I thought how it might be fun to try and make mandala's like these I have presented here.
wow! Adobe Illustrator, ok. That's cool about the job and the process you went through. And yeah, understanding the symbolism takes it to a deeper level. Have you ever drawn the full flower of life. I think it symbolizes the creation of the universe. It was a profound experience for me.
I have! That's one of my favorite ones. There's a few above that have some of it embedded. In my experience making these - I tend to have some kind of experience that pulls out gnosis that is within me. This one I felt everything shifting into the next phase of the year.
I noticed! Very cool man, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your comments. Cool to hear what people are into around here. :)
Nice!
Thanks, @team101!
