Lady Death
This ones pretty simple. I could've got more detailed, but i would've gone insane trying to place all the spikes in her forearms. The crisp lines on the eyes was exceptionally hard with my shakey hands.
I started getting into it & forgot to take any more progress photos.
The sword came from a Thor: Ragnarok, Heimdall bobble head. I think it has a pretty good resemblance.
Enjoy!
Until I saw your posts, I was not aware the DIY Pops existed... I foresee some Pop crafting in my future now!
Great job. Any tips on materials & paints you may have found work best?
I like to use Sculpty III.
Some people think its to soft but it works fine for Pop! As far as paint goes, I use regular acrylic paint that you can find at hobby lobby or Walmart. On my first couple I use white sculpty then painted the figures, but now i find it easier to get the sculpty in the color i need rather than painting it. Also pick up some sculpting tool.
These are fairly cheap at hobby lobby & with finer details.
Oh yeah. A good way to get the heads off is to submerge the head in boiling water a little past the neck. After a minute or two the glue should start to releases. Super glue works best to put them back on.
I hope this helps!
It sure does help! Thanks for the reply and info. I actually just ordered a few figures to start with and posted about it, giving a nod to your post here as an inspirational push. I appreciate it!
