The Picasso Museum – Antibes - Côte d'Azur - Spontaneous Dramatic Interpretations

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Recently I visited the Musée Picasso/Picasso Museum in Antibes, Côte d'Azur. I love almost all kinds of art and like to visit all types of museums. Although I’m not really a big fan of modern art, I decided to visit the Picasso museum anyway.
Like most modern art museums, the building itself (formerly the Château Grimaldi) is very nice and is perched on a seaside hill overlooking the blue waters of the French Riviera.
Upon visiting the museum I really did try to behave myself, but my unruly inner child rebelled and this was captured in photos of my instinctual, uninhibited, intuitive reactions and spontaneous interpretations of the “artworks” I was confronted with.
I guess I’m just spoiled to be around so many greatly skilled and talented artists in my daily life that it’s hard for me to take this type of art seriously, although I do know that Picasso was indeed a skilled artist as is shown in his earlier work.
Chacun à son goût!
(Not all art pictured is by Picasso. The museum also contains works by Max Ernst, Miró etc.)

I bet people around you had lot of fun. With some works I can agree with you, but any way thank you for share.

Yes we were all crying laughing. It was actually quite contagious and others started to let out their "inner child's reactions" as well. :)

Lol. Your reactions are pretty funny. I think I'd like to visit museums with you.

Awwww :) Thanks! I tried to do what you explained several times. I don't know if it worked. You can't see the code once it's posted. It's a great idea though. Thanks!

Congratulations, Your Post Has Been Added To The Steemit Worldmap!
