Steem Blasts Off With a Capital B- (original animation)

 Steem is soaring right now boosted by the news it earned a B- Weiss rating! Steem surged early Wednesday on the news but has had an even stronger late surge peaking shy of $7, more than a 50% gain.

 The crypto touchstone Bitcoin only earned a C+ Weiss rating while Ethereum earned a solid B.

 Steem has ignited it's boosters and is exploring strange new worlds!

 We ain't ever coming down!

 Well, let's not get carried away. I made this animated .gif to commemorate the occasion.

 I started by making a rough sketch of my original Steem cartoon character (still unnamed) rocketing upwards holding his grade for everyone to see, he's so proud.

 Once I had a rough sketch I put in the movement trucking marks to help time the movements so it would loop in an 8 frame sequence.

 Sketching the character again in 8 different rough positions to create movement. After I made the 8 sketches I decided I wanted his right arm down and flopping in the wind, so I drew some new marks and redrew that section.

 Then once I had it more or less how I wanted it I traced all eight frames again to clean it up, filled in the Steem logo, added some streaks to help show upward movement and painted in the background black to give the image better contrast.
