B/W portrait - Lucifer of Liège
This black and white, facial anatomy study was made after a religious
statue of St. Paul's Cathedral in Liège.
Francophone art historians most often refer to the sculpture
as the fallen angel.
Liège is a major Walloon city about 60 miles east of Brussels in the French
speaking part of Belgium, not far from the borders with Germany and the Netherlands.
