DELTA CITY
This is the freehand drawing that I did in 2014 and it was created on the basis of one-point perspective. I wanted to get both the strongly diversified buildings and the presence of clear contrasts.
Tools used:
Pencil: 2H, 5B, 6B
Paper size:
50x70 cm
In the first stage of the project I focused on the designation of streets and intersections to create a general outline of the composition. Then I started to create geometric shapes, which I placed relative to the street and on their basis I was creating solid buildings.
In later stages of this project I have focused on pre-contrast and possible detail that I could use for the extraction of the space in drawing.
The next important step in this work was to find the appropriate contrasts between the substrate, which also resulted from the deployment of lights.
The obvious thing when performing this type of work is to determine the focal point of vision. For this purpose, the elements that were on the edge of the paper I had tried to dim, which is also conducive to the space of the project.
In the very end of creating this project I checked the consistency of contrasts and execution.
