Seamless Metal Texture
This week I created a base metal texture with a few variations. I didn't really end up using reference for it. Instead I used multiple layers of photos to add some background detail and painted the rest. This is what I came up with.
Zooming in, you can see some of the subtle details that contribute to its overall look. I took advantage of some of the darker spots and added a small highlight where I saw fit, adding a bit of depth. I also created a new brush to add in the diagonal scratches, giving it a more textured look. After that, I created a new group to add pipes.
The hardest part of this was definitely adding the 4-sided connector. I am however, pretty happy with how it came out. As always, it should be seamless and perfectly tile-able. Have a good weekend everyone!!
