Art - World of Warcraft Character Commission

in #art6 years ago

Hey Steemers!

Hope you are all doing well today?

This week i have been working on a character commission of someone's WoW character.
I got some screenshots from him where I had to work from and throughout this post I will show you how this character came to be!

I started off with a SKETCH! :D As always..

rorippa-sketch1.png

I then painted it into a silhouette

I laid down some basic background colors to get a mood going

I got rid of the lines after I filled in all the shapes.. blocking in flat colors is what you can call it.

Some basic rendering, and bringing back the line layer so i can make all the edges a bit more crisp!

SOme more rendering going on still .. slowly fleshing out all the details

The character is now done..

I painted in the background a little and gave some shape to all the clouds and mountain/cities

Some small magic effect, some glow,, and some color balancing brings this image to an end!

I hope you liked seeing this process! I had a lot of fun painting this one up!
Was too long since I did some warcraft stuff!

See you soon!

Cheers

Thank you mate! :) Appreciate it! Spend a while on this one yeh hehe .. all those damn details and sharp edges take so much time :')

WOW amazing !!! Really great character portrait !!! The step by step is beautifully presented and the final picture is so lovely, with great colours and wonderful definition <3

This is really awesome, @beekart!!!

Thank you so much @veryspider ! Glad you like it!! ^^

She is very hot!
It is incredible the details that it has and especially the armor and the sword killed me, you never stop surprising me.
Honey, what kind of brushes do you use to color and for the lineart?
Where could I download them?
I bought a bamboo create, something strange happens, I do not know if it's the tablet, the PS or it's got a demon spirit in the pencil😱 🤪 😵 🤡 👹 👺 💀 👻 👽 🤖, but when I do lineart, suddenly it becomes a very, very thick line, and when I erase and do again it returns to the fine line that it had before, what could it be?

haha thank you @yanes94 !
Glad you like it!
The brushes I use are standard in photoshop, have you check out the video I linked a few days ago?
I use a basic round brush for almost everything :P

I know what you mean, i think that is a driver bug .. I have that too sometimes.. Might have to disable 'windows ink' .. if you google the problem you will find a solution,, there are many people with a demonic wacom stylus ;)))

hehehehe I have not seen it yet because of my Internet and at dawn it could be but I'm sleepy and I fall asleep ... I promise to see it today at dawn, Boy Scout word 😝

I think it's so cool how you can start from a silhouette because I totally can't XD That's...a really big sword :O

She looks like a real fighter! An ideal of a woman!! Great job! I love her boots! Her sword must be too heavy though! And I can imagine she hears also things that she doesn't want to with such ears!!! Thank you for sharing the step by step instructions too!
