Sometimes a bright images comes into my head. These images have a lot of detail and are filled with a feeling of necessity. That was also the case with this digital work. I felled rushed to paint it, worried it would be gone before it exists. After I had painted it I found out I have no clue what it is about. I remember the image and I remember that specific feeling but I have no idea why I had to make it. I don't think I ever saw this in real life and I don't understand the symbolics. Then the question is of course if it is okay for me as an artist to not understand my work. Should I keep it a secret until I know what it is about? Or should I share it, could it be something for someone else? Tell me if you understand the symbolics or have a clue what it is about.

Graag gedaan :)

I've gotten images in my head that I don't know where they came from too. It's strange when it happens.

Yes it feels very strange. We probably seen parts of it somewhere and together they become one strange picture

Very first thought......home. not sure where that came from either but it was immediate.

We physically live in Wisconsin but Ohio is my home, where my heart is, as they say.

That's a nice thought. Home is a beautiful word because of the meaning. It is funny to think about how Ohio is your home and for me a plve far far away.

I am not sure I know where you live? If it has been in a previous post I might not have been following yet.

Do you mind saying? And the language in your other post?

Oh of course you don't, didn't think about that. I live in the Netherlands.

There is horse imagery in the gates on the racecourse being lifted and the exercise horse is propped up on a skeletal structure: the horse is the imaginative mind as driven by desire (in a flesh and blood world). The main artery for this creative impulse is ready to slice like an axe: off with her head! The soul is rearing to go and run the full course. But the body is weary, too weary to run, though determined to stand its ground.

Very beautiful, I feel the ringing of truth. I actually have wondered if my soul is bored. If I try to look at the biggest picture I can imagine I dont think my soul is bored but precisely doing what needs to be done (or wanting). So than the question would be, whats the court? It is so much easier to think the court is a productive, hardworking and obedient life as the 'normal' people should. But my soul (or coincidence) said no that apparently. Maybe I am running the court at this moment, experiencing a lot ;)

It is probably that transitional phase for you where you allow yourself to be doing what others may judge to be "unproductive". It may take a long time to go through this phase, I hope people like me endorsing you will cut it much shorter than it was for me.

Thank thank thank you. I hope it will be as short as possible

Oh that is unusual, most often than not, artists like you, knew or understand what they drew/paint or about the definition of their art. Since it's a product of subconcious mind, I think the interpretation can be different to everybody. Maybe in time, you will find the meaning of your art piece. ;) For me, when I saw it first time, I thought is a big chocolate marshmallow/mail box hehehe

That would be an interesting mailbox. I am bot sure I wouldn't eat it. But mayne it gives a good smell to the letters. A yummy letter for your taxes.

My father-in-law welds grills out of barrels, and it looks something like the image to the right, except it doesn't have the pipe looking thing that runs up at the top. Except for that pipe looking thing, his grills look similar to that and we cookout with them.

I know what you mean! I have that shape in my garden, a grill with an ability to also smoke. thank you, thats a great suggestion.
