'In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality' Alfred Stieglitz

Photography is an art; it's the ability to stop the moment. Photographers are like wizards, they know how to see what others can’t, and they can stop the instant, leaving it in history forever. A good photographer even in the most ordinary landscape, even in the most usual situation and in the most ordinary day, will be able to find beauty, some unique and perfect moment. Such photographer is Velimir Kovačić @velimir

In his works there is some sort of magic and unknown mystery. You can watch for hours on his photos, imagining what was there, at that moment, and what happened next...

A little bit history of photography. The first stable photographic image was created in 1822 by the Frenchman Joseph Nicephore Niepce, but it has not survived to our days. The date of invention of the technology of photo art is considered January 7, 1839. This decision was made at the IX International Congress of Scientific and Applied Photography. The term "photography" first appeared in 1839. It was used simultaneously and independently by two astronomers – Englishman John Frederick William Herschel and German, Johann Heinrich von Mädler.

Below is collected only a small part of the amazing works by @velimir

Shadows are often present in the @velimir photographs, which makes them mysterious and unrepeatable. Also, the peculiarity of his works is the presence of bright colors. @velimir gives the name to every photo and writes his thoughts about it. Indeed, his works make you think and take somewhere far away, into the world of imagination...

Nota bene!

19th August is the World photography day.
