Aubameyang moves to Arsenal from Dortmund after 3rd Successful bid

Arsenal have completed the transfer of Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund for a club record £56m.

Previously two bids for the 28-year-old were rejected by Dortmund before concurring an expense that shrouds their £46.5m for Alexandre Lacazette in July.

Dortmund agreed to the deal subsequent to striking a deal to sign Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi on loan.

Arsenal said the 2015 African Footballer of the Year had joined on "a long term contract".

"The club has such a major history and extraordinary players like Thierry Henry. He's a great example for us strikers. I'm a quick player and I score as well, similar to Henry a bit. I think I need to work a great deal to be like him, which I will try to do.

Aubameyang joined Dortmund from French club Holy person Etienne in 2013.

Amid his stay with the Bundesliga club the main trophy he won was the German Cup in 2017.

He was named Bundesliga player of the year in 2016, and last season was the German top flight's most productive scorer with 31 goals.

He has played 56 times for Gabon, scoring 23 goals.

It must be said that Arsenal should be thankful to rivals Manchester United for 2 of their top 3 signings in this January (re -Mkhitaryan's move from Manchester United has a big hand in Aubameyang joining Arsenal) which may prove crucial in next campaign if not in this. Although Mr. Wenger had said uncertainties had gone with Sanchez's departure, it seems they are far from coming back to good, looking at Swansea's game last night.

A big uncertainty in Arsene FC (or Arsenal FC seems to be Mr. Wenger himself). It remains to be seen how these two signings can lift the club from their current state.
