Architecture in Alpharetta: Teasley Place
The first image is my submission for the #whiteiswhite architecture contest.
This town used to be known as Alfalfa land, due to the farms all over the area. In the past 20 years the tech presence has been established in this town. Ranked number 1 back in 2008 for top tech towns, and recently ranked top 5 for Crypto ownership in America.
The condos have access to restaurants on the bottom floor, along with a Farmers Market across the street on Saturdays during the summer weekends. Sitting down in the town you will hear techs, engineers and other IT related folk talking about their issues to their peers during lunch. As the town swells to double its population during work hours, then shrinks by half during the weekends and after work hours.
It took about 2 years for this building to come up, a big project for the town. The town also built a new Court House and City Hall along with many new office buildings.
Ive heard rumors of a club moving into the town too, like a social dance club kind of thing. Not something I am a fan of, but usually a sign of a growing city.
If you want more details on these condos see their website: https://teasleyplace.com/
I plan on writing more about #Alpharetta as there are a few crypto companies and notable individuals in the area.
thanks to @Nevlu123 for creating the great @solominer animation!
Beautiful photographs. I like to live in small towns as I hate rush of the big cities. Interesting information.
@akdx
thanks much, glad you find them beautiful. Alpharetta has a population of about 60k people so its a small city. I think id rather live in towns with 5000 or less people.
Great architectural place,,i like it,
Thanks @solominer
for mention me in your post.
Actually it's my pleasure which i made a animation for you and that is you liked..
Nice shots but this building looks terrible. Somehow like a prison. Not really but it still reminds me of one, kind of.
And these metal stairs don't look great either imo. Also reminds me of some older times (<1800) mixed with (a little bit of Greek and) industrial style or something like that - not sure. Unfortunately, I am not an art historian.
@gandalfthewhite
thanks for being honest, alot of feel the same way in the town. I read articles as they were being built they do not really match the town very well. Their fusion of a bunch of styles like you said looks bad. I would not buy them, also Id rather have 100s or 1000s of acres for the price, instead of owning a 3000 square foot condo.
Haha, no it is just my opinion but you're welcome man, I'm sure there are "a lot of people" who'd claim that this is breathtaking. It definitely isn't to me.
Well, I think I really can understand the writers of these articles.
And I agree with you regarding the acres instead of such a condo haha.
Yeah everyone to their own, just like many want to live in subdivisions its not for me. Id want a treeline or forest between my neighbors, not just a wall.
Right. House with a garden definitely is great.
The architectural building is very cool and majestic
Hopefully you can win in the photo contest you follow @solominer
